First cake. Have a couple portions of starter set aside and started feeding new batch. Since this is a test, thought I better take a picture now. May have shara be my tester tomorrow.
It tasted very good and more like a quick bread. One lesson learned was this starter has the texture of dough and when I tried to combine it with the eggs and the other liquids, the beaters took hold of it and spun it around in the eggs. I almost had it all over the kitchen! However, I was able to stop the spinning in time to mash the starter up a bit, incorporating it into the liquids before trying to beat again.
